Stained glass windows

The Parish Pastoral Council have been examining the condition of the stained glass windows.

A window contractor, Mr. Evan Connon, outlined the current problems in relation to the condition of the stained glass windows.

The parish decided that work on the some of the windows was quite urgent, The windows at the back of the altar have already been restored and this restoration work will continue over the next 5 years.

The stained galss windows in the church are very beautiful and of a high quality and have been in place between 80 and 100 years.

Restoration is expensive work and total outlay is approximately €150,000.

Monthly repayments of c. 2720 are already underway and parishoners have been asked to increse their weekly contributions.

There is also a "Stained Glass Window Fund" and contributors are welcome.
